Our Towns

Cumberland Valley’s agricultural and milling industries shaped the look and feel of our valley in the 18th century. Large college towns like Carlisle and Shippensburg blend a reverence for our past with cutting-edge cultural events, restaurants and shops. Newer towns and villages have blossomed throughout the county, each adding their own distinct personality to our growing and vibrant region. From the unique West Shore towns that dot the Susquehanna River across from Harrisburg, to charming hamlets like Boiling Springs on our western edge, there is one thing our towns have in common— an open invitation for your visit!
